Global Social Venture Competition 2018: India Round

The Global Social Venture Competition is the world’s preeminent social venture competition providing aspiring entrepreneurs with mentoring, exposure, and up to $80,000 in prize money to transform their business ideas into positive real-world impact. GSVC leads entrant teams through an experiential learning process to develop innovative, scalable solutions to the world’s greatest challenges. Through our global partner network, we give teams the connections, support, and exposure needed to advance their social ventures.

1M1B (1 Million for 1 Billion) Foundation is hosting the Global Social Venture Competition 2018: India Regional Round under it's Smart City 4.0 initiative which aims to develop innovation skills for the fourth industrial revolution and accelerates technologies from young innovators, start-ups and large corporations to create the best solutions for making our communities smart, safe and sustainable while contributing to the United Nations Agenda 2030 - Sustainable Development Goals particularly.

Early-stage social ventures from across India including Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan with at least one undergraduate or graduate student or recent alumni are invited to apply by December 3, 2017. 

The India Regional Semifinals will take place on 5th March, 2018, and the Global Finals will be held April 11-13, 2018 in Milan, Italy, where the top teams from each region will compete for $80,000 in prize money.

Applications must be submitted in English, unless otherwise noted. Please review the GSVC eligibility guidelines to determine if your team is eligible to enter the competition and review the deliverables for each round.
